ROYAL DRAGON RESTURANT

Well, it is not quite Buckingham Palace, but it is the changing of the Guard. New officers for the 2005 term will be announced and as usual, we will celebrate with food and drink! Join your fellow club members at the Royal Dragon Restaurant located in the Fontana Shopping Center at the corner of 5lst and Memorial., It Is on the south side of the center facing 51st St. (7837 E. 51st.) The social hour wilt be from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm and then we will advance on the resplendent buffet at 7:00p.m., sharp. As many of you know the Royal Dragon serves some of the best Chinese food in town along with made to order Mongolian Barbeque. If you go away hungry, you have no one to blame but yourself! Cost will be $10.60 per person excluding any adult beverages and checks will be separate to keep things simple.

This is our first official event of the New Year and some of us think of it as our thank goodness the holidays are over bash. Don’t miss the food and the fun but we MUST HAVE RESERVATIONS. Call Larry Banner now at 918- 627- 4305 and let him know how many will be in your party. We will be in a private dinning room so be sure to tell the hostess you are with the Jaguar Club and she will direct you to the correct room. Bring the whole family and enjoy an evening out with your fellow enthusiasts. It will get your year started off right.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Believe it or not it’s already a new 2005. Your club is looking forward to another 12 months of auto-related fun & food activities. Be sure to let any board member know if there’s something or somewhere you think the club would enjoy. We have done short, simple things; picnics, local museums, etc. to a trip to England & Jaguar Coventry so almost anything goes!!! We had a great year last year & the treasury increased so we hope to continue the fun. Happy New Year to all. GG 918-481-1789

DANG! THE NEWSLETTER IS A LITTLE THIN !

Yes, you noticed that you got a really abbreviated newsletter this month. Sorry, but in addition to the usual Holiday mess, your Editor suffered a major computer melt down. I am still getting things back together. Being that I lost my photo program, I couldn’t even fill up space with pictures! However, next month things should be back to normal. In the meantime I just wanted to get the message about our next event, the Installation Dinner, out to all our members.

IS THIS YOUR LAST NEWSLETTER?

Annual dues are due now! If you have sent yours in, no problem! But, if you haven’t you will not be receiving a February ‘Cat Tale’ and will be dropped from the mailing list. If you have some question about your dues, call Larry West at (918) 664-1743 or e-mail him at lwest66@swbell.net . The form to fill out and the mailing address to send your dues to are on the back of this page. ‘Due’ it, today !

WINE & CHEESE PARTY

A big THANK YOU goes out to John McKeel and Jaguar Services of Tulsa for so graciously sponsoring our Christmas wine and cheese patty. We had a lot of fun with our Dirty Santa’ game again this year (amazing how mean some people can be!) and a great selection of goodies to eat and drink. Next month we will have a complete report about the party along with the pictures. In the meantime, stop in and see John and his staff and thank him for a great party.

NEW JAG IN TOWN

One of our members decided he needed something better to replace his pick-up so he went down to our friendly, neighborhood Jaguar Store (aka Jaguar of Tulsa) and bought a brand new one.

Larry Banner is now tooling around town in a 2005 Jaguar Estate Wagon. The Carnival Red car is really nifty and it is also the first and only Estate Wagon in town! We have been hearing about this Wagon and the fact that it is a big seller in Europe. Now you can see why. It is a beautiful and truly functional. The lines are graceful, the interior well

appointed and comfortable. The 60/40 all wheel drive makes handling terrific, and the gas mileage is great. It certainly beats a bulky, gas hogging SUV any day. No doubt Larry will drive his new Jaguar to the Installation dinner and we can all take a good look at it.
